FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR BOARDING MY PUP?
All boarding and board & train dogs must be sent with 4-7 weeks of their current food and a copy of their current vaccine records.
DOES MY DOG GET TO PLAY WITH OTHER DOGS?
Depending on the temperament of your dog, yes or no! We do allow group interaction and playtime once your dog is settled with us and temperament fully assessed. 9/10 times your dog will have playtime with one of my personal pack members.
WILL I GET UPDATES?
Absolutely!!! We send photos and videos (when technology allows) at least once per week! I try to send updates on Mondays. We will also meet for a private lesson half way through the scheduled board and train program so that you can see your pup.
WILL MY DOG BE PERFECTLY TRAINED AFTER A BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAM?
While I can do a lot of amazing work in a few short weeks, I can only build on and create the behaviors a dog will need to know to be a good citizen. Most of their life is spent with you guys, so there will be maintenance training that will have to be done at home and throughout their life. Your dogs also have to relearn what you will and won't allow at home - remember before coming to training, they were still learning. They may just have been learning things you don't enjoy. But maintaining training is so much easier to do so once a solid foundation and communication system is in place, and I will ALWAYS be happy to answer questions, come out for brush-up lessons, and help in any way I can during your pup's time with you.
WHERE DOES MY DOG LIVE DURING TRAINING?
Indoors, as part of my household! All dogs sleep kenneled in the kennel room with adequate potty breaks & training time throughout the day.
WHAT ABOUT FLEAS, TICKS, AND PARASITES?
We require all dogs coming for Training or Boarding to be current on vaccines and flea/tick and heartworm/intestinal worm prevention.
WHAT IF MY DOG GETS HURT OR SICK?
Working with animals is a daily liability and yes, injuries and sickness can absolutely happen, especially due to the stress of a new environment if your pet has never boarded away from home or has extreme separation anxiety, etc. You are notified IMMEDIATELY and we ALWAYS seek veterinary treatment as needed, we have an excellent relationship with our local vet located 10 minutes away.
